Looking for a quick weekend getaway? Skip the climbing gym and cross the border to embark on a climbing adventure in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia’s capital is home to some of stellar climbing spots in the region. Get ready to challenge yourself on the towering limestone cliffs, with a panoramic view as your reward.
What will the trip look like?
Top Rope or Lead Climb
We offer 2 options – 1) top rope or 2) lead climb. For those doing top rope, the guide will belay you during the guided session. For those lead climbing, it will be mostly self-guided. There will be a guide nearby in case of emergencies.
Day 1 – Welcome to KL!
We will meet at our accommodations any time from 3pm onwards. Day 1 will be pretty flexible! Take the time to explore the city and rest up for the action-packed weekend. In the evening, we will gather for a group dinner and get to know each other better.
Day 2 – Climb Day 1 (Damai Wall)
Rise and shine! We will head over to the renowned Batu Caves around 7am to meet the guides at 8am. We’ll spend the morning scaling the Damai wall of the Batu Caves. The limestone wall has over 50 routes of varying difficulty levels for beginner and intermediate climbers to choose from.
Lunch will be self-settled via Grab food before the afternoon climbing session commences.
Day 3 – Climb Day 2 (Nyamuk Wall)
Day 3 will be spent scaling Nyamuk Wall! Similar to day 2, we will meet our guides at 8am and spend the whole day climbing.
Day 4
Day 4 is free and easy. After check out we will make our way back to Singapore.

What skill level is this trip suitable for?
We recommend the top rope option for those who are new to outdoor climbing or those with intermediate experience. For those who are confident in their skill level, you can opt for lead climbing.
Do I need to be SNCS Level 1/2 certified?
No, you do not need to be SNCS level 1/2 certified for this trip if you only intend to do top rope.
If you want to lead climb, you should be SNCS Level 2 certified.
