Hit the slopes across breathtaking alpine scenery, towering mountain peaks, and picturesque ski villages in Chamonix. After a day on the slopes, unwind with some après-ski at the many bars across the resort. After all, après-ski did originate from the French!
What will the trip look like?
Day 1 – Bus from Geneva Airport to Chamonix (Argentière) UCPA
We will gather at Geneva Airport at 130pm (Geneva Time) to catch our 2pm bus transport to Chamonix (Argentière) UCPA. We should reach around 5pm which gives us just enough time to grab our rental equipment and enjoy our first buffet dinner together. After dinner, your host will share with the beginners some tips & tricks about snowboarding and skiing to help prepare you for the week ahead. For non-beginners, the host will help to facilitate groupings if needed.
Day 2 – First Ski Day
Rise and shine! If you are a complete beginner your host will take you to the green slopes in the morning where you can sneak in some practice. Your lessons with UCPA will officially start in the afternoon.
For non-beginners, there are no lessons today. You can make full use of the day to freely explore the resort.
Once the ski day ends, your host will organise a visit to the main Chamonix village for us to soak in the Christmas spirit of Chamonix. (30-minutes bus ride away)
Once we are in the village, it’s free and easy! You can explore with the group or head off on your own!
If you fancy a good sing-along, then you’ll find plenty of opportunities in Chamonix over the festive period. It all starts with the Chambelles Christmas Concert at the Eglise Reformée (near the train station) featuring festive cheer, Santa hats and all the Christmas classics with the lovely ladies (and a few gentlemen) of the Chambelles choir.
Made up of wooden chalets, the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley Christmas Market will be located in the pedestrianised centre of the town. You will find the stalls and wooden chalets in the following streets and squares:
- Avenue Michel Croz
- Place Balmat
- Quai d’Arve

Day 3, 4, 6, and 7 – Ski around the Alps with your guide
Regardless of skill level, you will receive all-day lessons and mountain guiding on these days. The instructors will not only help you to improve your skills but also take you around the best areas in the mountains. The best part of the group sessions is that you get to meet people with the same skill level as you which sets you up for lots of fun throughout the trip!
Lessons are not compulsory so feel free to sneak off in the afternoon for some beer and music. After all, Chamonix has a reputation for its lively bar scene.
Day 8 – Last Day
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. On Saturday morning, you are free to do whatever you like. We will grab our final breakfast at the resort before departing at 10am and will reach Geneva airport around 1pm.

What if I have no experience in skiing or snowboarding?
No fret, on this trip, daily lessons with instructors are included. This will help you improve tremendously. For those who have never tried skiing or snowboarding before, come with an open heart and we’re sure you’ll have a blast!
