What will the trek look like?
Day 1 – Gateway to Ijen: An Introduction to Java’s Splendors
Arrive at Surabaya International Airport by 10AM, you'll be greeted by our team, who will guide your 7-hour journey to the serene surroundings of Ijen. As the landscapes transform from urban sprawl to verdant hills, let the anticipation build. Tonight, get ample rest at your hotel—adventure beckons at dawn!
Day 2 – Dawn at Ijen and Twilight at Bromo
Rise by 01:00 AM and embark on an 2-hour trek early trek to the mesmerizing Ijen Crater. By 06:00 AM, stand atop its rim, gazing down at the ethereal blue flame and the emerald acid lake, while the early sun paints the sky. Return and recharge at your hotel by mid-morning. By noon, we'll set off on a 6-hour journey to Mount Bromo, another of Java’s iconic peaks. After dinner, you will check in to the hotel for some rest.
Day 3 – Bromo's Majestic Sunrise
At 02:30 AM, brace yourself for a celestial experience at Mount Bromo. Journey to the Pananjakan peak and await the sun’s first golden rays. By 06:30 AM, commence your trek to the crater for 30 minutes, culminating in a surreal sunrise view from Bromo's summit.

After descending, a 4.5-hour drive will lead you back to Surabaya Airport by 04:00 PM, marking the end of your Java escapade.

As this immersive day concludes, a 4.5-hour drive will lead you back to Surabaya Airport by 02:00 PM, marking the end of your Java escapade.

You will be staying at 2 to 3-star hotels that are near the hiking sites! Each room sleeps 2-pax and will have 2 single beds.
Fitness and Preparations:
This Indonesia hike is much easier compared to its counterparts like Rinjani and Semeru. With that said, being in decent shape will definitely amplify your experience.
Do I need special equipment?
Nope! However, you should bring a good pair of hiking shoes and warm clothes because it gets cold, especially at the summit.
